Hi, everybody. Today, I'm gonna talk about a really important small detail that has a big impact on your closet when you're designing it. And I'm gonna give you a real life example and story of a little mistake that I made. That way, you don't make the same mistake. It is really important to know the specific categories and types of clothes that are going back into your closet.
This is the part you've already decluttered. You know specifically what's going back in your closet, and now it's time to design it. Whether you are working with one of our designers or you're using our design tool online, this is really important. You have to know if you have more sweaters versus dresses versus pants because that really impacts the way your closet is designed and the different modules that we're going to use. I'm gonna give you an example of how important this small little detail is.
Somebody sent me their measurements and their closet, and I designed it. And I was all excited because I thought it looked really really good. And then, I found out that they basically almost only wear dresses. The way that I had designed it was not in correlation to that. It wouldn't have worked.
It was a lot of double hanging, and there was a lot of drawers and things like that, which they still needed, but their closet was quite literally probably 80% dresses. What did they need? They needed long hanging. It's it's more than just the space and the measurements and how we can fit these modules. It really gets specific, and it's we want to make sure that we use the modules that fit your clothes and your needs.
Really important detail, but just remember, write down if you wanna go really crazy with it and you wanna get it, like, extra perfect, write down the amount of of items that you have. I would do this with my with my clients as much as I could. We have 20 sweaters and only 5 pairs of pants, but we have 10 pairs of dress pants and things like that because it really helps you create this custom closet that fits you and your life and your wardrobe, and that's how you make it that elite level. Happy organizing, everybody. Follow Christina's Corner for more tips and tricks of how to get organized.
