Hello and welcome to our first regularly scheduled tip blog for 2021! The team at Modular Closets and I have been working on some amazing projects, but I’m excited to share some more organization tips with you!

This month, I've been focusing on a mini blog series about home organization for 2021. Today, let's dive into closet personalization!

Personalizing Your Closet

I believe that your home should reflect who you are, and that includes your closet. When you feel comfortable in your closet, you're more likely to keep it organized and decluttered. Here are a few things to consider adding to make the space your own:

  • Chairs or Poufs - If you have space, a chair or pouf provides a comfortable spot to put on shoes or, if you’re a parent, a little hideaway moment. Adding a small, stylish seating piece gives your closet an extra touch of comfort.
  • A Rug - Whether you have a walk-in or reach-in closet, a rug can add warmth and coziness. In our video, Ami McClure shows that rugs are also a great place to relax in the closet.
  • A Mirror - A floor-length mirror is a must-have. It lets you see your full outfit and can make your closet feel more spacious.
  • Hats - If you’re a hat collector, display them creatively on the wall. This transforms your hats into a functional piece of art in your closet.
  • Shoe Walls - If you have a large shoe collection, consider the shoe wall component from Modular Closets for floor-to-ceiling shoe storage. (For more on shoe walls, check out my blog here.)
  • Art Prints / Posters - Add personality with artwork, posters, or prints that make you smile. Even if it’s only seen by you, this personal touch brings joy to your space.
Cozy Closet Decor

These are just a few ideas for making your closet feel uniquely yours. With a Modular Closet system, you’ll have plenty of space to add your personal touches. The possibilities are endless—create a space you love, and you’ll find it much easier to keep organized!
